Tell MN Leadership to Fund Transit in the Special Session

Minnesota lawmakers are still negotiating on transportation funding and could reach a deal in the coming days. Speaker Hortman will play a big leadership role in these budget decisions. Take action now. Tell her to make funding for transit, bicycling, walking, and rolling a top priority.

With millions of dollars up for grabs, Senate decision-makers have proposed cutting base funding for Metro Transit and Metro Mobility. This is completely unacceptable.

Really, though, Minnesotans need our leaders to do more than reject cuts. We need them to step up with funding. Lawmakers have the resources available in this transportation budget. Half or more should go toward transit and active transportation. That’s how we can keep up much-needed progress on bus rapid transit, on intercity rail, on protected bikeways, and accessible sidewalks. Send a message now.
