Boost the Bus Meeting with Hennepin County District 5 Commissioner Debbie Goettel
The Twin Cities needs faster, better bus rides for more people. To make it happen, Move Minnesota is advocating for dedicated bus lanes and transit signal priority on Metro Transit’s most-used routes. These are simple and inexpensive fixes with the power to make a big impact. But we need your help to get decision-makers on board! Join Move Minnesota, our Boost the Bus working group, and Hennepin District 5 constituents for a meeting with Commissioner Debbie Goettel on May 13 at 12:30 pm.
Bus riders shouldn’t have to wait years for progress to come one new line at a time—we need improvements now. Bringing dedicated bus lanes and signal priority to Metro Transit’s High Frequency Network is a critical first step.
Counties play a major role in the build out and maintenance of our regional transit system. That’s why Move Minnesota and our Boost the Bus volunteers are organizing conversations with Hennepin and Ramsey County commissioners to discuss these exciting, achievable improvements and transit’s vital role in moving our communities and climate forward. Anyone with a passion for transit is welcome!
