Hennepin Ave S Listening Session

Join neighbors and share your experience in support of a better Hennepin Ave S!

Our collective efforts to get dedicated bus lanes and protected bike lanes on Hennepin Avenue South are at an exciting, critical stage. We need your help now to show elected leaders what these improvements will mean for Minneapolis!

The Hennepin Ave S reconstruction is in its final stages of public feedback before the city council and the mayor weigh in on the recommended design. Join Move Minnesota and neighbor-led Hennepin for People for a listening session with decision-makers! We invite neighbors and visitors to the Hennepin Ave corridor to come ready to share a minute or two about why the Hennepin Ave reconstruction is important to you. Personal perspectives are an important part of showing our elected leadership what wider sidewalks, safe bike lanes, and dedicated bus lanes will mean in people’s day-to-day lives.

Come ready to speak! The recommended street design from City staff includes the bus lanes and bike lanes we’ve been fighting for—a huge step forward!—but we still need a strong show of support to get the City Council on board. Please register below for the Zoom link to participate.

Elected officials invited include: Ward 10 Council Member Aisha Chughtai (attending), Ward 7 Council Member Lisa Goodman (invited), and Mayor Jacob Frey (invited). Other Council Members have also been invited to attend.
