Livable Lyndale: Campaign Celebration

In 2023, a handful of Minneapolis residents came together with a shared vision for safer, more sustainable streets in their city and launched the Livable Lyndale campaign. From the very first public meeting about the reconstruction of Lyndale Avenue, a growing group of advocates, with the support of Move Minnesota, provided a strong vision and community voice for a redesigned street that is inviting to everyone—whether we walk, bike, roll, or bus. 

Those efforts paid off. Thanks to our committed and consistent organizing together over three years, Hennepin County and the City of Minneapolis recently approved a Lyndale redesign that will benefit people and our climate for decades to come. 

Celebrate this massive win with us on August 27! 

Join us at Whittier Recreation Center from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to celebrate a Livable Lyndale, connect with neighbors over a slice of Wrecktangle Pizza, and hear from the local volunteers, organizers, and elected leaders who made this redesign happen.
