Pack the Room for a Livable Lyndale
For decades, Lyndale Avenue has been an uninviting place to bus, bike, walk, and roll. But, thanks to advocates like you, Hennepin County’s plan for the road’s reconstruction includes a two-way protected bike lane, a short stretch of new bus lane, green boulevards, and wider sidewalks with patios for businesses! Now, we need your help to keep pushing for a Livable Lyndale as this redesign heads to the City of Minneapolis for approval.
Over the past three years, our Livable Lyndale campaign has played a key role in shaping the future of this critical corridor with consistent public rallies, thousands of petitions signatures and postcards, and a clear message to project leaders: prioritize a people-focused, climate-friendly street design!
But our work isn’t done yet: Please help us pack the room at the Minneapolis City Council’s committee hearing on July 9 at 1:30pm.
We’ll have signs—all you need to do is bring yourself! Opponents are still trying to stop this redesign and keep Lyndale stuck in the past. Our collective advocacy has already shown that our voices make a difference. Meet us at the hearing and let’s make Lyndale Avenue South a place that neighbors and visitors can enjoy, businesses can thrive, and all of us can get around!
Let us know you’ll be there:
