Livable Lyndale Party on the Median!

Thanks to volunteers and advocates, we’ve built a powerful community movement for a Livable Lyndale where everyone feels safe and included, no matter how they get around! Since Hennepin County began the planning process in 2023 for reconstructing Lyndale Avenue from 31st to Franklin, we’ve mobilized thousands of people to support a design that includes wider sidewalks, curb-level bike lanes, and full-day bus lanes. Through rallies and bike rides, postcards and petitions, we’ve amplified community demands and created incredible momentum around this once-in-a-generation opportunity.

But we need to keep the pressure on in the final weeks before project leaders release the final design. Join us for a joyful activation in the median at W 27th Street and Lyndale, as we share our vision with colorful signs and engage folks in signing postcards to county leaders. RSVP for the May 10 Median Party!

We’ll provide materials, music, and snacks — you bring the energy (and the whole family)! Together, we’ll make sure Hennepin County knows we need dedicated bus and bike lanes in the final designs!

Our Livable Lyndale Median Party is the official “after party” of the Joyful Riders Club May 10 DJ Dance Ride. We are excited to welcome Joyful Riders at the median to advocate for Livable Lyndale!
