Protected bikeways and bike paths are essential for safe, welcoming biking in Saint Paul. This week, the Saint Paul City Council unanimously passed an updated Saint Paul Bike Plan that proposes expanding more than 100 miles of protected bikeways and paths across the city!

New Legislative Session Is an Opportunity to Build on Historic Wins for Public Transit
So much of how we get around is tied up in the way our roads and communities are designed. Proposed policy changes at the State Capitol would address critical land use issues to cut climate pollution and make it easier for Minnesotans to walk, roll, bike, or bus. With backing from advocates and elected allies, these policy changes can help ensure ongoing transit investments can have the greatest positive impact for years to come.

Early Results Show Metro Transit Free Fare Pilot Benefits Riders and Boosts Ridership
Metro Transit is currently piloting free fares on Routes 62 and 32 in the Twin Cities. Early data and our conversations with bus riders and community members show the pilot is making a positive impact. Required by the groundbreaking transportation legislation Move Minnesota Action secured in 2023, the new pilot is part of an ongoing, nationwide conversation about the cost of living, the role of fares, and the future of public transit.
